Count Your Blessings St.Patricks Day Card

Hey guys!

Check this out.

No, I’m not skipping Valentines Day. I’m just really tired of seeing red after all those Christmas cards I made .

It all started when I  water colored  a green backdrop and tye die tags onto watercolor paper. Then….. “HEY I THINK ILL MAKE A ST. PATRICKS DAY CARD.” Then the rest went like this:

For the sun rays I applied  gold texture paste with a palette knife to a Tim Holtz  stencil. I let it dry overnight just to make sure it was solid.

The smaller white tag was made with Copic markers and  embellished with gold string I bought at Walmart 3 years ago. I pulled out my eyelet pliers  and smashed a gold eyelet on top of the tag.The little green shamrock is from Hobby Lobby.

Smushed that all together with Tombow Mono glue.

Did you see the “pot of gold” inside? That right, handmade baby!

Then I heat embossed a sentiment with green glitter embossing powder and a watermark pad. Ta-Da

If your curious about  the products I used simply click the highlighted words above and just like magic, POOF, there it is.

Top Of The Mornin’ To Ya

So check this out.

Green card stock? Check. Gold pigment ink? Check. MY FAVORITE THINGS “LUCKY” stamps and dies? Check. Lets do this.

Stamped the green cardstock with the shamrock that came with the stamp set with gold pigment ink. Cool.

Next cut out shapes with the matching die set, Copic color and a little white highlight pen did the trick on them.

I’m not a Project Life kind of chick .When you see how much these pouches are on sale for!? I reformed quickly.

I  S-U-C-K  at shaker cards so in my book this TOTALLY qualifies as one!

Out came the heat fuse tool to enclose those little pockets filled with sequins, shapes and MICRO BEADS.

Wrapped a bit of GOLD YARN around the middle. Used a small punch and Glossy Accents for the shiny shamrock in the middle. Small scalloped square die to cut sentiment and smacked down those words. Tombow Mono adhesive and Quickie Glue Pen is keeping it all together. Done.

Supplies links are attached to the highlighted words above. You just hit the word and, “Oh my”, it pops up. Yeah, I know. Crazy easy.
