So. Check this out.I purchased Spectrum Noir markers to compare them against my lovely Copics. Well SN’s green is REALLY GREEN. I have to be honest. Not my favorite. Fun to make but not my favorite.
Started with plain white cardstock. Stenciled holly leaves and greenery with Tim Holtz die.
Distressed ink pads Festive Berry & Evergreen applied with finger daubers. LOVE THE NEW STORAGE CASE!
Leaving the stencil on I added Diamond Dust into a glossy gel medium and smeared a coat on.
While that was drying my Cuttlebug magically cut out two tag dies. Colored them with the Spectrum Noirs.
“Stitched” around the edge Reminisce white gel pen. Any better? The SN markers really sucked up the white gel pen so another coat was required. This year I added these ornament dies to my supplies. They were “colored” with Matellic Lustre. I’ve only used this a couple of times but I’m sure I could easily get addicted to it. It’s a cream, pasty goo you apply with your finger (or at least I did). Sort of like old school shoe polish.
Glossy accents is the adhesive I go to when I need something to stick well. Thatis what was used to stick this card together. The gold thread and raffia top of the tags.
Okay. Just not digging this. You ever have one of those cards?

Check this out….
So I started stamping with some Sizzix stamps called Happy Birthday To You (omitted the dies) with StazOn gold (silver pictured here) solvent metallic ink onto a piece of gold (silver in final picture)vellum.
I “fused” together a sheet protector and sequins.
Die cut “happy” and 2017. Glued those suckers together with Tombow Mono onto a piece of gold pearlescent card stock.
